Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Fayetteville, NC- home to Ft Bragg. My passion has been working with military couples and families. I have been an educator since 2001. I began specializing in helping individuals adjust to military life in 2003 as an intern in Colorado Springs, CO. This led me down a counseling path and I began working with couples in 2009.

I was as a School Counselor 2004-2009 in CO and NC. I have worked in private practice since 2008. I was a Substance Abuse Counselor at the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) in Stuttgart, Germany 2012-2013. I have been a Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) since 2014. All these positions have resulted in my having a unique, comprehensive perspective of both military life and family life.

Many couples get overwhelmed balancing career and family responsibilities yet yearn to make their relationship better. Military families especially have extra challenges due to constant adjustments. I’m awed by how creative and dynamic couples come become as they create unique lives that work for them. I am fortunate in that I get to help others create beauty from chaos. My life is enriched teaching others to build intimacy, lessen suffering, heal and become expert lovers.

I utilize the following credentials in helping others. I completed Level 3 Practicum Training In Gottman Method Couples Therapy, am a Gottman Seven Principals Leader and Gottman Bringing Baby Home Program Educator. I’m also a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX) , Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), Certified Addiction and Drug Counselor (CADC), Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH) and Certified Laughter Yoga Instructor.
